A Bit about Me

Finding a Passion

The day after I drove to pick up my new camera, I was ecstatic to start shooting. I woke up at the crack of dawn before any light had spilled out over the horizon and got ready to take some of the worst yet best photos of my entire life. I can’t explain the rush I felt while groggily wandering around a public boat access shooting anything that moved and didn’t. I knew from that moment on I wanted to take as many photos as I could and refine my craft until I could take pictures I’m proud to hang on my walls.

My First Shots

I’ve always been around photography. From a young age, my old man had a good camera lying around somewhere, and occasionally I’d snap a few random pictures. My Uncle Michael was highly influential in helping me find my passion for photography. Sometime in my early adolescence, I spent time at his house learning the ropes of photography. He is a prominent sports photographer and I was lucky enough to learn a lot from the images he’s shot and the help he’s given me.

My photography journey began in August of 2021 when my Uncle Michael gave me an old Nikon D800E as a graduation gift. I’d always had an interest in photography and I had even spent time at his house when I was much younger learning about apertures, focal lengths, ISO, etc.

The Next Chapter

The whole reason this site exists is straightforward: it’s for fun! It’s a place where I can show my work, get feedback, and create a network of people interested in photography. The next chapter of my photography journey is just starting, and I want to bring you along! With any passion half the fun is figuring out where you can improve and then striving to master your craft. So with that, I hope you take some time and explore our pages; who knows, maybe you’ll like it enough to find your next passion.
